hereBelow are scanned copies of two types of documents from the War Diary of the 1st Battalion, The Regina Rifles, roughly covering each month that the Battalion was in action. Strictly speaking, the War Diary is a collection of many different types of documents, plans, maps, photos, etc. related to the actions of the unit. They are usually organized by month. A major part of each monthly collection of files is a general narrative of the activities of the unit. These are also commonly referred to as the War Diary, and are replicated below.
Also included is another monthly document contained in the main War Diary, usually referred to as the Intelligence Log or the Intelligence Diary. This is a log of all messages received at the unit, both from higher formations and sub-units of the Battalion itself. These can often provide more detailed information on many events.
